These are exciting news! MPIC plans to break ground on CALAX in Q1 2017 For those commuting to work, this will definitely save a lot of travel time and wasted hours in traffic. Personally, I am very hopeful that all these will change how we look at commuting. It should't be as stressful, as horrifying like waiting for almost 4 hours in line to get into the MRT or even feel that you are not safe riding the bus or train. For those thinking of purchasing a property outside of the metro, this will no longer be a hassle to commute or travel faster without splurging on gas money. These will give us that positive assurance that living outside the metro is not at all very far and will no longer entail a lot of sacrifice. We are hopeful.

You just bought your first ever real estate property, you already signed the contract and you are ready to move in within the next 3 months, so what's next? What furnitures should I buy? What's my design? I am not a professional interior designer but I know how it is not to have a design plan before moving in to your new property. No doubt it will become a hodgepodge of anything you just picked up from the furniture shop and then you stop and realised that you are living in a confused mixture of your different mood swings in the past months. And it's a disaster! If you skim through the bookstore or through your social media accounts, there are a number of interior design magazines and websites that talks about a thousand ways of decorating your house. I know there is a lot of ways but in the end, it's how you like it that's important. BE MODERN. Modern design employs a sense of simplicity in every element, including furniture. A word that’s commonly used to describe modern style is sleek, and there is not a lot of clutter or accessories involved with a modern style. BE MINIMALIST. A minimalist design are all about sharp lines, solid surfaces, low furniture, and pastel shades. This means spacious rooms with minimum of furniture and details and with colour palettes that are neutral and airy; furnishings are simple and streamlined, and nothing is excessive or flamboyant in accessories or décor. Minimalism is ultimately defined by a sense of functionality and ultra-clean lines. BE INDUSTRIAL. Industrial style refers to an aesthetic trend that takes clues from old factories and industrial warehouses that in recent years have been converted to lofts and other living spaces. There’s a sense of unfinished rawness in many of the elements, and it’s not uncommon to see exposed brick, ductwork and wood. Imagine high ceilings with dangling metal light fixtures and old timber with something to dash colour to like abstract art or photography pieces from a neutral colour scheme with primary materials of wood and metals. BE RUSTIC. Rustic design is drawn from emphasising a natural inspiration by using raw, timeworn, distressed and often unfinished materials including wood, stone and reclaimed lumber. It shows an eclectic look that incorporate outdoor accessories that emulates warmth from the design. BE SHABBY CHIC. It is a uniquely romantic way of decorating that first originated in the the 1980's in the United Kingdom. It consists of furnishings that are either chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear, or where new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. At the same time, a soft, opulent, yet cottage-style decor, often with an affected feel is emphasized to differentiate it from genuine period decor. BE ORIENTAL. Asian-style (Oriental) homes evokes serenity and calmness by ushering in harmony and balance from the different inspirations from Asian countries like Japan, China, Thailand to exotic Indian themes. Incorporating the elements of nature, culture and tradition provides a fresh tranquil vibe mimicking a scenic landscape to suit the interiors. BE COASTAL. Coastal style creates a relaxed and comfortable environment that is truly inspired by the beach and the ocean. It includes light, airy colour palettes with cool neutral shades paired with blues and greens. Elements of wood and accessories that captures the beach vibe are used like striped pattern pillows, large glass windows and white or beige furnishings. It's bringing the beach breezy feeling into your own home. BE FILIPINO. I have always been captivated by old Filipino houses with that vintage and nostalgic feeling with different touches of nature, culture and family memories. It is a style influenced by what we see around the Philippines from the traditional, modern and tropical inspirations. You don't have to follow all the rules of the interior design styles but you can always take inspiration from them. Combining different style concepts also works and you don't have to limit your choices. Take inspiration and find your own style.
The view, where is the lovely view? Most potential real estate buyers are looking for a place where they could just spend their days looking by the window at that beautiful scenery. Sometimes, or maybe always, the view by your window brings up the value of your property. So, if you want the view then you have to get more bucks to pay for it.
extra price just to get that perfect sunset view, the higher the floor, the better. They realise the potential and so are most of the project developers that build condominium buildings and exclusive gated communities just across the Taal Lake which is just a perfect sales pitch. The Taal Lake view is just as easy as opening your bedside window or just a 2 min walk away from home. Plus that chilly weather too.
It can also be a lifestyle choice where you find yourself enjoying the waves and that laid back energy that you don't see living in the city. There are also project developers that knows Filipinos and even foreign visitors love the Philippine beaches, so owning a 30sqm unit by the beautiful enclaved beaches in Batangas or in Mactan is just a small step away. Different people varies with their P.O.V well, so thus their taste for that breathtaking view. How about you, what's the place to live with a view?
It is that great feeling of affection & endearment , that's AMORE! With the endless demands of the modern city life, it has never been easy to be in an environment where you can just be... Nestled in gentle rolling terrain. Swept by fresh breeze. Kissed by the warmth of the sun. Inspired by the rustic charm of Tuscan life.
